LANDIKOTAL: At a press conference held at the Landi Kotal Press Club, Khyber Sports Club President Mirajuddin Shinwari, General Secretary Kaleemullah Shinwari, and other members announced the organization of the All-Pakistan Peace Football Tournament scheduled for August 14, 2024.
The tournament will feature renowned players from across the country. Mirajuddin Shinwari highlighted that the Khyber Sports Club has been organizing various sports events, including football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, karate, cycling, bodybuilding, and tagball, for over forty years. Established in 1982, the club was founded to provide opportunities for athletes, particularly at a time when many young people were struggling with substance abuse.
Shinwari extended an invitation to current public representatives to visit and encourage the athletes, particularly international stars like Atiq Shinwari, Yasir Afridi, the late Sohail, Nadeem, Arif Masih, and young talents such as Tufail Shinwari and Kashif Shinwari in football, as well as Shahid Afridi and Usman Shinwari in cricket. He urged MNAs and provincial candidates to address the club’s issues seriously, warning that they would take their grievances to the streets and platforms if their concerns were not resolved.
