PESHAWAR: Rising political uncertainty following recent developments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has sparked deep anxiety, concern, and despair among citizens across the province, including all merged tribal districts.
Following reports regarding the enforcement of emergency measures and governor’s rule, residents from both urban centers and former FATA regions stated that prolonged political conflict has severely affected daily life and stalled development.
Residents highlighted that persistent lawlessness, cross-border tensions, inflation, and economic stagnation have already placed immense strain on the public. They noted that while isolated groups of a few individuals in a couple of locations have expressed joy, the overwhelming majority of citizens remain deeply troubled by the ongoing crisis.
In response to the deteriorating situation, the establishment is actively engaged in efforts to stabilize the environment and restore public confidence. Citizens and local leaders have demanded that peace, economic recovery, and the long-overdue development of tribal districts be prioritized immediately to lift the populace out of despair.
