KHYBER: A police officer was killed while three others Injured in a gunfire attack on moving car in Jamrud on Sunday night, sources said.
The sources said unknown gunmen sprayed bullets on a moving car near Jamrud bazaar in district Khyber.
Three persons including the police officer Abid Afridi sustained bullet injuries. They were rushed to a hospital in Peshawar where police Inspector Abid Afridi breathed his last.
Police launched a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators. The reason behind the attack couldn’t ascertained till filing this report yet claimed responsibility for the police killing.
It may be added here that last week another police was shot dead in Landikotal and Al-Qaida claimed responsibility for the killing.
