PESHAWAR: Elite Care General Hospital Peshawar organized a three-day free physiotherapy camp, providing assessments and treatment to patients with various physical and rehabilitation-related conditions.
Speaking to Lead Pakistan, Dr Awais Barzan said the camp ran from October 5 to 7. He said a team of well-qualified doctors and physiotherapists, including Dr Mubashir Hassan, Dr Maria Khan, Dr Jameela Khan and Dr Gul Andam, provided free treatment and consultation. He said more than 120 patients, including males, females, female and children, were provided free consultations and treatment to various patients suffering from various muscular, nerve and joint-related pains and other physical conditions during the camp.

Patients from Peshawar, Landikotal, Bara, Charsadda, Lower Dir and Mardan visited the camp. The patients included those suffering from back, neck, shoulder, knee and foot pain, as well as children with various pediatric conditions, disabilities and other physical impairments.
Dr Awais Barzan said the initiative was aimed at promoting awareness about physiotherapy and making basic rehabilitation services accessible to people who might otherwise delay seeking treatment due to financial constraints or lack of awareness.
“Based on the response to this camp, we plan to continue community outreach and organize similar free or low-cost physiotherapy initiatives in the future, particularly for people with limited access to rehabilitation services,” he said.
Patients who visited the free medical camp appreciated the Elite Care General Hospital and its staff for providing free physiotherapy and consultation.
