LANDIKOTAL: The Family of a Landikotal resident, who died after he was hit by a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle, appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take sue-moto against the alleged killer and provide them justice.

Aamir Shinwari told the media here on Monday that his brother Ajar Hussain was hit by heavy machinery working in the BRT project near Gora Qabristan(Christians’ graveyard) in Peshawar on May 10. He said they formally requested the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, but failed to arrest the alleged killer, who escaped from the scene soon after the incident.

Shinwari said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-led government was responsible for the incident. Adding that the government should arrest the driver of the BRT vehicle and investigate the case.

“We will continue our protest and will raise our voice on various platforms until we do not get justice for our brother’s children,” Amir said.

The ill-fated drive was a sole breadwinner of his family, who left behind a widow and four children, including two daughters and two sons.

Aamir appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the incident and provide them justice.
