Heirs of ‘slain’ driver seek justice

LANDIKOTAL: Family of a Landikotal resident, who died after he was hit by a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle, appealed from the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take sue-moto against the alleged killer and provide them justice.

Aamir Shinwari told media here on Monday that his brother Ajar Hussain was hit by a heavy machinery working in BRT project near Gora Qabristan(Christians’ graveyard) in Peshawar on May 10. He said they formally requested the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government but failed to arrest the alleged killer who escaped from the scene soon after the incident.

Shinwari said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa led government was responsible for the incident.Adding that the government should arrest driver of the BRT vehicle and investigate the case.

“We will continue our protest and will raise voice in various platforms until we not get justice for our brother’s children,” Amir said.

The ill-fated drive was a sole bread winner of his family who left behind a widow and four children including two daughters and two sons.

Aamir appealed from the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the incident and provide them justice.
