Takbir Afridi’s services remembered

LANDIKOTAL: Political administration officials, civil society members, journalists and a large number of locals gathered at the government high school Zeen Tara on Thursday to remember the services of late journalist ‘Takbir Khan Afridi’.

A condolence reference was organized by the Rokhana Sabawoon welfare organization where the speakers delivered speeches and paid warm tributes to a late journalist.

 Addressing the occasion, Niaz  Mohammad, the APA of Landikotal as chief guest of the ceremony said that the services of Takbir Afridi would be always remembered. He said the death of Takbir Afridi caused the deprivation of the area from a noble person.

He announced Rs. 50000 for the medical treatment of Takbir’s son, Hamad, who had been suffering from a fatal disease, thalassemia.

During the speeches, senior journalist Sudhir Ahmad Afridi, teachers association representative Sharifullah Afridi and president of Khyber Youth forum Amir Afridi paid homage to the services of the late Takbir Afridi.

They said Takbir Afridi always raised his voice for the poor community of the area and always performed services to help the deserve and poor people.
