LANDIKOTAL: The Christian community organized a rally on Wednesday in Landikotal Bazaar to show their commitment and solidarity with occupied Kashmir residents.
Former MPA Wilson Wazir Masih headed the rally. Several elders and youth from the Christian community participated to express their support for their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
The rally marched from Bacha Khan Chowk and gathered outside Landikotal Press Club. They were holding banners and chanted slogans such as “Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan” (Kashmir will become Pakistan) and “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan).
Addressing the participants, Wilson Wazir said that the Christians and other minorities in Pakistan firmly stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Kashmiris in this difficult time. He urged the United Nations to take practical steps for the freedom of Muslims in Indian-occupied Kashmir and grant them their due rights. He demanded that the Indian army must be withdrawn from the region and allow Kashmiris to live freely. He also called on the UN to take notice of India’s atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
Wilson Wazir reiterated that the Christian community would not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the Kashmiri people and that their struggle would continue until Kashmir’s freedom is achieved.
