Tribal regions archery team clinches first position in national tournament

LANDIKOTAL: Sports union representatives of the newly tribal areas have applauded the archery team of the tribal regions which received first position in 7th national championship held in Karachi.

Talking this scribe the chief runner and founder of the Khyber Pakhunkhwa archery club in Peshawar ‘Sara Khan’ and the Fata archery association official Manzoor Afridi said that their two teams one from tribal regions and one from Khyber Pakhunkhwa region participate in a national level archery championship in Karachi.

She said that after giving tough time to the team players of various provinces, the newly tribal regions team captain Israrul Khan Afridi of Jamrud subdivision with his team players Wajahat Khan and Zafar Khan won gold medal while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team got second and Punjab team received third position.    

The team coach Sara Khan said that It was all due to the excellent performance of tribal regions players and their interest in learning this game.

The tribal regions sports associations officials Akhtar Rasool Shinwari and Kaleem Shinwari have applauded the struggles of Sara Khan for guiding the tribal regions archery players which enabled them to win gold medal on national level.

The officials said that it was a great honor for tribal regions and tribal players that our team got first position while there were also the best teams of Punjab, Sind, Balochistan, Gilgit, KP and Islamabad in the national tournament.
