LANDIKOTAL: Two people, including a girl, were injured when gunmen opened fire on them in Mukhtarkhel village in Landikotal, District Khyber.
Police officer Ayaz Khan Shinwari said Zahidillah Shinwari, a resident of Pirokhel Landikotal, along with his granddaughter were on the way home in their car were chased by another suspected car in Mukhtarkhel village. He said the gunmen in the car sprayed bullets on the car, As a result, Zahidullah and his granddaughter identified as 6-year-old Sarwat sustained bullet injuries.
The victims were rushed to the hospital in Peshawar. The reason behind the incident could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
