KHYBER: A police constable and a polio worker were wounded when unknown motorcyclists opened fire on them in Bara tehsil of Khyber tribal district on Monday, official sources said
The sources said that unidentified armed men opened fire on the polio team in the Bar Qambarkhel area in the jurisdiction of the Bara Police Station.
As a result of the firing, a police constable identified as Gul Kareem and polio worker Abdullah sustained wounds. They were rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex.
Soon after the incident, police personnel reached the incident site.
The police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation but no arrest was made till the filing of this report.
