LANDIKOTAL: An iirga organized by the police was held in the tehsil Jirga Hall where all stakeholders collectively vowed to support authorities in fighting against all social evils in Landikotal.
The Jirga was attended by local government representatives, tehsil chairman, assistant commissioner Irshad Mohmand, political party leaders and civil society members.
Speaking on the occasion tehsil chairman Shah Khalid Shinwari said that no religion has allowed the use of any drugs. He said in Islam the use of drugs was strictly prohibited. He said those who manufacture and sailing drugs were guilty in law and also in Islam.
Shah Khalid said when a person is drug addicted his whole family is affected. He urged that government and other organizations should come forward and provide treatment for addicted people. He said all stakeholders were united against social evils operating in Landikotal.
