Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided the residence of Abdullah, President of the Peshawar Currency Sarafa Association, in Hayatabad on Wednesday, seizing various items.

According to an official FIA press release, the raid was conducted following complaints against Abdullah, son of Lal Khan, alleging his involvement in illegal money transactions and fraud. The raid took place at his residence in Hayatabad Phase 1, which also serves as his office. Abdullah was not present during the operation.

The FIA statement confirmed that several documents related to illegal hundi operations were confiscated from the premises.

“Abdullah is an Afghan national who obtained a fake Pakistani identity card, claiming to be a resident of North Waziristan,” the statement revealed. Abdullah had moved his office from Chowk Yadgar to Hayatabad after a recent crackdown.
