ANSS to hold board of directors election on April 8 in Toronto

TORONTO: The executive committee of the Afghan Network For Social Services (ANSS), announced the election for the Board of Directors scheduled for the year 2018-19.

The Afghan Network For Social Services (ANSS), executive committee has given approval for the constitution of the elections committee, during its meeting, chaired by the ANSS Chief Executive Engineer Zarawer Mufakir Khan, according to which Samander Mahmodi, Shahab Stanikzai, Naveed Jilani, Farzana Hashimi, Mohammad Shakir Noori, Kawsar Salehi, and Abdullah Malikzai are appointed as members of the committee.
20 candidates will participate for 11 seats on the board of directors.
The polling will be held through a secret ballot and voters have been advised to bring their identity cards.
Afghan Network For Social Services (ANSS) was established on 12/11/2017 in Toronto for the greater cause of providing professional services to communities in need, its operations will not be restricted to Toronto but will expand beyond Canada’s borders and ANSS will strive for the greater good of all humanity across the globe.
ANSS will fundamentally provide solutions, services, and professionals under a single umbrella for the successful implementation of projects that need to be implemented or need a professional cadre to successfully undertake those projects for various communities in Canada and around the world, including Central Asia, South Asia, East Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

ANSS services include but are not limited to immigration consultation, supporting newcomers in finding housing, learning Canada’s two official languages either English or French, enrolling in educational institutions, credential assessment, legal counselling, helping them preserve their culture and language of origin, provision of recreational and educational programs for women, youth and seniors, and educating communities about environment protection, health, and nutrition promotion, support in finding employment for newcomers, training for capacity building, vocational workshops, computer education and networking newcomers and professionals in Toronto and across Canada.
Why do we exist?
The reason for ANSS’s existence is that the aforementioned services that we have envisioned to provide to communities will need young energetic professionals, who can provide those services in an effective way, it will not only help them achieve their goals but will also make them more and more appreciative of their host country and they will able to take their fair share of responsibility in society.
