LANDIKOTAL: In a decisive move, the District Police Officer (DPO)of district Khyber Rai Mazhar Iqbal has terminated five police personnel for their continuous absence from duty during the recent polio vaccination campaign, Official said.
District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal told Fata Voice News Agency that the action underscores his commitment to maintaining discipline and accountability within the police force.
“Negligence and carelessness in performing duties are unacceptable in any form. We will take further action against police department employees engaged in illegal activities or those who fail to fulfill their official responsibilities,” said DPO Khyber.
He reaffirmed the importance of the police’s role in public health initiatives and announced that all accountability within the police department would be continued to ensure that all personnel uphold their duties effectively.
The dismissal highlights the DPO’s resolve to maintain high standards of conduct among law enforcement officers, particularly in critical public health efforts like the polio campaign. He said the police department aims to foster a culture of responsibility, ensuring officers remain dedicated to their roles and diligently serve the community.
The dismissed from their job were identified as Constable Sher Baz,
constable Ibrahim, constable Abdullah, constable Saifur Rehman and constable Muhammad Farooq.
