LANDIKOTAL: Medical Emergency Resilience Foundation (MERF) in collaboration with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund(UNICEF) on Monday arranged a day-long seminar in Landikotal press to raise awareness about the different types of routine immunization vaccination and is important in life.
A number of religious scholars, journalists, social media activists, civil society members, health staff and local NGOs members participated in the seminar.
Project director Sahibzada Kifayatullah and training director merged districts doctor Kamran Khan delivered their presentations.
Dr. Kamran said that some of the people in merged districts propagate against immunization vaccines. He said it not only create hurdles for the health staff but also affects children and newborn babies. He said immunization vaccines were safe and necessary for every child to administer five immunization vaccines once in life.
Sahibzada Kifayatullah said that polio and other lethal diseases could only be eliminated when everyone administer vaccines at the proper time. He urged participants especially media men to raise awareness and join hands with the health staff so that they could protect the life of the children.
Participants pledged to conduct sessions in their respective areas and will administer the required vaccines to their children.
