LB Reps Accuse Tehsil Chairman For Corruption

LANDIKOTAL: General Councilors and village chairmen accused tehsil chairman that he had failed to deliver and allegedly involved in Naib Qasid(Office boy) hiring corruption in Landikotal.

Speaking at a press conference village chairman Abudarda Shinwari, Aziz Shinwari and Rahmanullah Pasedkhel said that the tehsil chairman and line department heads were involved in corruption.

He said several office boys who were hired violated merit. They said the tehsil chairman did not call meetings in the past four months which was against the rules of business. The local body members said that Tehsil Municipal Authority(TMA) collects illegal taxes but its employees were not paid salaries in the past several months.

“A number of local body members are also involved in illegal tax collection which is a shameful act for all councilors”, said Abudarda Shinwari. He added that the tehsil chairman distribute government-controlled flour among his near and dear ones.

Abudarda Shinwari said hundreds of poor families who deserve were ignored to distribute government flour bags in Landikotal. He said the tehsil chairman was working on the direction of former senator Taj Muhammad Afridi and ignored local issues. They said the tehsil chairman must address local issues including electricity load-shedding, Nadra, drinking water, education and roads.
