PESHAWAR: Senior lawyer Abdul Lateef Afridi candidate of Asma Jahangir Group (independent lawyers group)was elected president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Thursday.
Latif Afridi won the elections of the Supreme court Bar Association.
He defeated Abdul Sattar Khan’s candidate for Hamid Khan Group (professional lawyers group).
Both candidates belonged to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
After the landslide victory Afridi and his entire panel will replace the team of Syed Qalb-e-Hassan, and hopefully, continue the aggressive campaign for the independence of the judiciary.
