LANDIKOTAL: The newly elected Landikotal press club cabinet was sworn in on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Tribal Union of Journalists President thanked Taj Muhammad Afridi. He said the senator’s efforts for journalists were not hidden from anyone. He said the ex-minister should also work for the welfare of journalists.
Shah Rehman Shinwari president, vice president Malik Pervez Khan Afridi, General Secretary Umar Shinwari, Finance secretary Shah Ali Afridi, governing body members included Ashrafuddin Pirzada, Shahid Shinwari, Kamran Shinwari, Aminul Haq, Noorsat Afridi and Attaullah and Saadullah Afridi.
Newly elected president Shah Rehman Shinwari said that Taj Muhammad always worked hard to provide the best possible trade facilities for the people in Pakistan. He said Taj Muhammad Landikotal press had been established in a rented building.
Ex-senator Taj Muhammad Afridi said that journalists were the fourth pillar of the state and played an important role in conveying the public voices to the people who constitute policies for the country. He said the Landikotal press club was approved but due to some reasons, it could not constructed. He said soon he would meet concerned officials to start construction work on the long-awaited Landikotal press club. He urged journalists to further improve their work for people and be united against all social evils.
Taj Muhammad said journalists must counter and block all anti-state propaganda by those who want chaos and instability in Pakistan.
