LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber Table Tennis team won the final match of the table tennis event during the merged areas sports festival held at Bajour ‘Khar’ sports complex the other day. The merged areas’ sports festival has been organized by the directorate of sports.
The Khyber tennis team consisted of four players Rohullah Shinwari, Sartaj Afridi, Asif and Altaf Shinwari is the captain of the team while Nasib Shah Shinwari was the manager of the squad.
The table tennis matches were held at the Khar Bajour sports complex where the Khyber Zalmi table tennis team defeated the Bajour team with 3:0 set points.
The players and team manager applauded the directorate of sports for organizing such a big sports event for tribal players.
It is to mention here that the Khyber district table tennis squad is winning the tribal area sports grand festival for 4th time consecutively which is an honor for tribal people and players.
The players have demanded the high-ups provide facilities to table tennis players in the Khyber district and construct an indoor facility at Landikotal and Jamrud sports complex for this sport.
