JUIF Opposes Fata Merger: Hameedullah Jan

LANDIKOTAL: Former federal minister and Jameat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl nominated candidate for National Assembly from District Khyber Hameedullah Jan Afridi on Thursday said that JUIF was the lone political party who opposed Fata merger as it was foreign agenda to dismantle tribal culture, traditions and create chaos for their wasted interests.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leaders Hameedullah Jan Afridi and Sheikhul Hadees Tehseenullah flanked by Mufti Ejaz, Maulana Mujahid Shinwari and JUIF Khyber spokesman Qari Jehad Shah Afridi said in 2018, merger was imposed on the tribal people through oppressive and unlawful method and it was imposed without being consulted with the 15 million tribal people. Hameedullah Jan said Although the constitution of Pakistan clearly states that no decision will be imposed without the consulting of citizens. He said unfortunately the tribal people were deprived of six National Assembly seats and representation in the Senate. He said special quotas for tribal students in medical colleges and engineering universities were abolished. He said erstwhile people were promised to issue eleven hundred billion rupees in National Finance Commission(NFC) every year in the past five years a single penny has not been received yet. He said tribals were deprived of all basic rights including water and electricity.

Hameedullah Jan said the election commission had not issued the postal ballot
due to which the government servants were deprived of their voting write. He said the relevant authorities should take notice to take action against the involved officials.

The JUIF leader said every decision was taken without the consent of tribal people. He said tribal people have made a lot of sacrifices for the country and must be honoured and treated as Pakistani citizens. He said people understand the politics being used in the time of election.

Mufti Ejaz said that JUIF leadership never disappoints the nation and always stands side by side with tribal people. He said the nation had to wake up and its decisions must be made for devoted candidates. He said JUIF had always raised its voice for the tribal people inside and outside the parliament and their support would continue to help resolve genuine problems.
Mufti Ejaz said they would never let the nation down.
He said they would never compromise on the rights of the people and they promised tribal people that they would not compromise on their rights.
