BARA: Armed men on Thursday robbed a private bank and escaped with Rs 6.5 million cash in Bara Bazar of district khyber.
According to sources, Four unarmed dacoits looted Rs 6.5 million from a private bank in Bara Bazar district of khyber.
The bank robbery is the first of its type in tribal districts.
The dacoits had overpowered the security guard, snatched his gun, and held the bank staff and customers hostage while they took the cash. the dacoits escaped from the scene in motorcycles.
Police reached the scene after getting information and cordoned off the area to conduct a search operation but failed to arrest the dacoits. The police registered an FIR against unknown people, sources added
