Cheques Distributed Among Flood Victims in Khyber, KPK

LANDIKOTAL: Compensation checks were distributed among the families who lost their near and dear ones in the recent flash floods and heavy rain devastation in Landi Kotal of Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Monday.


Assistant Commissioner of Landikotal Irshad Ali Mohmand told Fata Voice News Agency that on the directives of deputy commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, they handed over Rs,1 million cheques to each heir of those who were killed in last week’s flood in Charvagh village and Loey Shalman in Landikotal.
He said they would also issue compensation amounts who suffered material losses in heavy rain. He said they had sent flood damages data to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority(PDMA) and other concerned departments to start their relief and rehabilitation process as soon as possible.

It may be added here that dozens of houses and rooms were wholly destroyed and partially damaged while two vehicles were also washed away in flash floods in various areas of Landikotal tehsil in the recent floods.
