LANDIKOTAL: A police Sub-inspector and Civilian were martyred, and Several Injured in a suspected militant attack on a police post on the outskirts of Landikotal late on Saturday night, sources said
According to sources, the tragic incident occurred near Sadukhel Patak, Char Wazgi checkpost in Tehsil Landi Kotal, when unidentified assailants opened fire on police officers stationed there.
It killed Sub-Inspector Alamzeb Khan Afridi, a civilian, and seriously injured Sub-Inspector Comandaan Afridi, Constable Sher Ali, and another civilian.
The injured were immediately shifted to DHQ Landi Kotal for medical treatment.
Following the incident, the assailants managed to flee the scene. However, law enforcement agencies have been mobilized, with blockades set up in various locations to apprehend the perpetrators.
