Ashrafuddin Pirzada
RAWALPINDI: The National Command Authority(NCA) jointly with the Joint Chief of Staff Committee on Wednesday awarded engineer Amiruddin Pirzada a distinction medal for his outstanding performance as a principal engineer officer in the Atomic Commission of Pakistan in 2022-23.
An award distribution ceremony was arranged at the joint Headquarters Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi. The ceremony was attended by many military and Atomic Commission of Pakistan officials, parents and other prominent citizens.
The spouse, children and mother of engineer Amiruddin Pirzada attended the event on a special invitation.
Amiruddin Pirzada,46, hailing from Pirokhel village in Landikotal was commissioned as an engineer in Atomic Energy of Pakistan in 2003. He is now serving as principal engineer (BPS-19)officer in Atomic Energy of Pakistan.
Chief guest and chairman of Atomic Commission of Pakistan Lieutenant General Lt, Gen Yusuf Jamal honoured Amiruddin Pirzada with a distinguished service medal and gifts. Lt, General Yusuf Jamal also met Amiruddin Pirzada’s mother and congratulated her for her son’s outstanding services as an Atomic engineer.
Lt, Gen Yusuf Jamal praised Amiruddin Pirzada for his hard work and dedication. He said Amiruddin Pirzada was a shining star and pride of Pakistan.
It may be added here that Amiruddin Pirzada also received gold medals in 2013 and 2019 for his dedication and services in the history of Pakistan’s atomic commission.
The National Command Authority select outstanding officers in Pakistan’s defence departments including the strategic commission is arranged every year.
Talking to The News Amiruddin Pirzada said he dedicated his award to his parents and Pakistani citizens. He said every year the medal is being given to Pakistanis for their outstanding performance in different government and strategic organizations.
He said last year he brought a number of innovations in tools manufacturing used in nuclear and radiation environments for which was honoured. He said his life is dedicated to a prosperous and progressive Pakistan.
When talked to the mother of Amiruddin Pirzada she said it was the blessing of almighty Allah and pride for the whole family. She said it was a moment of joy and pride when her son was awarded the medal which would be remembered in her life.
