PESHAWAR: Ten Frontier Constabulary (FC) soldiers were martyred and Three FC personnel were wounded in an attack by the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij on Zam FC check-post in Darzanda in Dera Ismail Khan (DI) Khan in the dark of night.
According to sources, terrorists targeted DI Khan’s Zam FC check-post in Darzanda, to which the Frontier Constabulary (FC) soldiers bravely retaliated.
Ten of the FC soldiers were martyred, while three FC personnel were wounded in the gun battle with terrorists.
Those who lost their lives, including Naib Subedar Muhammad Jan, Naik Arif, Lance Naik Saeed Rehman, and soldiers Akhunzada, Hazratullah, Mushtaq, Abdul Samad, Imran, and Basir. The attack also left three injured, with Naik Hamza Noor, Sepoy Hussain, and Sepoy Sabir Ayub currently under medical care. These valiant soldiers served with honour and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and sacrifice.
Interior Ministry, Minister Condemn Attack on FC Soldiers
The Interior Ministry honoured the FC’s commitment to combating terrorism, stating that these sacrifices strengthen the nation’s resolve. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack on the Zam FC check-post and recent incidents targeting law enforcement, including gunfire at an SHO’s vehicle in Bannu and an assault on a sub-inspector in Kohat. Naqvi paid tribute to the ten FC personnel who lost their lives in the Darzanda assault, recognizing their courage in facing the attackers.
