RAWALPINDI: At least sixteen Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom when terrorists attacked a security forces checkpoint in the general area of Makeen, South Waziristan District, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attempt was made by a group of terrorists on the night between 20 and 21 December 2024.
In a fierce exchange of fire, eight terrorists were killed. However, 16 soldiers embraced martyrdom after fighting valiantly.
ISPR reiterated the military’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism, stating, “Such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve.”
The incident underscores Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism.
