LANDIKOTAL: Anti-Narcotics Force and Haq ki Awaz welfare organization, in collaboration with District Police Khyber, launched a campaign to rehabilitate drug addicts in District Khyber.
In this connection, an awareness campaign was launched while several cases were received from family members of the drug addicts.
Two drug addicts, namely Zahoor Son of Mehboob Khan resident of Shalobar Bara and Shahzad son of Irshad resident of Wazir Dhand Jamrud were handed over by district police Khyber to the team comprising Anti Narcotics Force(ANF) to admitt them at Haq ki Awaz Rehabilitation Centre.
The Anti-Narcotics Force and the district police in Khyber were working closely in the extermination of the menace of narcotics from society.
DPO Salim Abbas Kulachi said that besides the eradication of drugs and drug peddlers, they were working to rehabilitate drug addicts.
He said the mission and motto of the campaign were to bring these addicts back to normal life, to help relieve the mental stress on their families, and to make them catalysts in the progress of society.
Salim Abbas Kulachi appreciated the efforts of the ANF, Haq Ki Awaz Welfare Organization, and district police for their efforts. He added that the efforts would help bring the youngsters back to normal life. He also requested the civil society and notables of the community to help and assist the district police ANF to wipe out social evils from society.
