PESHAWAR: Overnight on Saturday, suspected terrorists attacked the Sarband police station in a suburban area of Peshawar, killing three policemen, among them a deputy superintendent of police (DSP).
According to sources, the terrorists attacked the police station from two to three sides with automatic firearms and grenades.
At least six to eight terrorists were involved in the attack. At least 12 to 14 policemen were present at the police station at the time of the attack, Sources said.
the terrorists managed to flee after the attack. the search operation has been halted and would commence during the daytime in order to track down the attackers.
The martyred policemen identified as DSP Sardar Hussain and his gunmen, Irshad and Jehanzeb, all received gunshot wounds to their heads and bodies.
