LANDIKOTAL: The directorate of the Local Government and Rural Development(LG&RD) Fata Secretariat in collaboration with UNICEF has organized a day-long seminar to aware the masses aware of the importance and benefits of birth registrations of children.
The seminar was held at Landikotal Jirga hall on Tuesday in which a score of local elders took part.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Landikotal, Muhammad Imran was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking to the gather Muhammad Imran said birth registration was the right of every child.
Regarding the importance of registration, Imran said that any State’s government could not launch any development project without Knowing and assessing the population of the area.
He further said birth registration would help children in making national identity cards in future as collected data would be shared with National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The official stressed the elders cooperate with birth registration teams for the welfare of the area’s children.
