PESHAWAR: The son of a Tribal Elder identified as Akbar Jan was killed when he was attacked with an Improvised Explosive Device exploded in the Sara Ghora area of Azam Warsak in South Waziristan district on Monday, sources said.
According to sources, Akbar Jan was on his way home on a motorcycle when the roadside bomb exploded.
Local officials also confirmed the incident in Sara Ghora in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan Lower District.
Akbar Jan alias Barjak Darikhel Wazir was the son of the late Malik Shireen Jan Darikhel, the local tribal tribe.
It may be added here that after 9/11the victim’s family has rendered many sacrifices in the war against terrorism so far.
The late Malik Shireen Jan played an important role in expelling the Uzbak, Chechen and foreign terrorists from the area. It was learnt that still, the family is still paying the price of the locality with Pakistan and its security forces.
The family head was known as an important figure for their vital role in the region’s peace.
