PESHAWAR: Residents staged a protest demonstration in Shakai on Saturday against the killing of 5 labourers in the heartbreaking incident in Daza Ghundai area in South Waziristan Lower the other day.

Thousands of protesters attended were led by tribal elders, youths, scholars and political parties.

Provincial assembly candidate Taj Muhammad Wazir said that innocent people were killed. He said the heartbreaking incident in the Ghundai area was not only sad but also condemnable.

Taj Wazir criticized the current district administration and other security officials and said that poor construction workers hailed from to Shakai area were constructing a police station. He said unfortunately they were killed due to lack of protection by the current government.

He said that the oppressed people have reached the same conclusion by learning from their experiences about who was involved in such incidents.

He said that many obstacles have been erected in the way, in which the biggest obstacle is the state itself.

He said there was no room for anyone to doubt that the worst oppression of the Pakistani state had surfaced in tribal areas in the past few months.

Taj said that every voice raised against oppression was being tried to be suppressed and created hurdles for victims.

He further said the pain of others should be considered as one’s pain.

He said several days ago armed unknown persons from the Tanai Aziz Abad area of ​​Wana snatched all the goods from the vehicles going from Dera Ismail Khan to Wana and abducted the motorcar from the driver to an unknown location, which is still missing.

He demanded that the government treat citizens as their children and spread its wings of mercy on oppressed people.

He urged the government to announce a big package for the families of those who were killed by unknown armed men yesterday, and all possible help should be given to his family.

It should be noted that yesterday, 5 workers were gunned down by five labourers when they were constructing a police station in the Daza Ghundai area of ​​Wana which people expressed great concern.
