LANDIKOTAL: An officer of the polio eradication campaign has shot dead in the tribal district of Mohmand on Monday.
According to details Wajid Khan, the union council polio officer of Halimzai area was gunned down during his duty time. the sources said that he was shot dead in Halimzai subdivision of district Mohmand.
He was the nephew of martyred tribal journalist Mukarram Khan Atif who was also martyred by militants years before. sources said.
According to a senior journalist of Mohmand ‘Shams Momand’, A local of the district was refusing the plio drops to his children and thus he opened firing on the polio team head and killed him.
