LANDIKOTAL: Police apprehended a drug supplier and recovered 4 kilograms of heroin and 1 kilogram of hashish from his possession in Landikotal, police said on Monday.
Additional station house officer Azmat Wali Shinwari told The News that under the command of District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal, the crackdown against drug dealers and smugglers has intensified across the district. He said acting on a tip-off received by additional SHO Azmat Wali intercepted a suspicious pedestrian, identified as Sajjad Khan, son of Ayub, a resident of Khugakhel Landikotal, at the Khugakhel Dalkhad Bypass Road. He said police recovered the four kilograms of heroin and one kilogram of hashish from his possession and took the arrested person to Landikotal jail.
DPO Rai Mazhar Iqbal stated that efforts against drug dealers, suppliers and their facilitators would be continued without interruption. He further emphasized the ongoing collaboration with local elders to eliminate drug-related activities in the area.
