Pakistan Successfully Test Fires Shaheen 2 Missile

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan successfully tested the Shaheen-II ballistic missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

According to the Pakistan military media wing(ISPR) the launch aimed to train troops, validate various technical parameters, and evaluate different sub-systems for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.
The training launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations, the ISPR added.
Reacting to the Shaheen-II launch, the director general of the Strategic Plans Division appreciated the technical prowess, dedication and commitment of scientists who contributed towards this landmark achievement.
Furthermore, ISPR reported that President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful test of the Shaheen-II ballistic missile.
