KHAAR: A man was killed and three others were wounded after unidentified persons attacked them inside the mosque in Mamond tehsil area of Bajaur Agency.
Officials of the local administration told reporters here on Wednesday that the incident took place in the Malanagi area of Mamond tehsil in the early hours of Wednesday.
They said the members of the Tablighi Jammat who have been in the mosque for the last two days were asleep there when unidentified armed persons attacked them with automatic weapons.
They said that one person identified as Manasab Khan died on the spot while three others were seriously wounded in the attack.
Soon after the incident the resident of the area and tribal elders rushed to the mosque and shifted the wounded to the agency headquarters hospital, Khar for treatment.
However, a senior official told that personal enmity could be the main cause of the incident.
He informed that two persons have been arrested upon the information of the family members of the victims. – APP
