KP assembly passes FATA merger bill with two-thirds majority

PESHAWAR: After National Assembly and the Senate. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly passed on Sunday the KP-FATA merger bill with two-thirds majority.

The bill was passed with two-thirds majority, the vote count showed that 92 provincial lawmakers voted in favour of the bill while seven in opposition.
Members of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) in the provincial assembly opposed the bill.
