Indian drugs dealers charged in Khyber

LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber administration and drugs control program officials jointly launched a crackdown against substandard and Indian drugs dealers in Jamrud and Bara bazaars in Khyber tribal district, officials said on Friday.

Deputy commissioner of Khyber Mehmood Aslam Wazir told this scribe that on his directives assistant commissioner Nek Muhammad, drugs inspectors Yahya Khan and Manzoor Ahmad raided several medicines stores in Jamrud and Bara Bazaars.
He said they recovered a huge quantity of substandard Indian medicines and sealed two shops. He said they also issued notices to ten other medicines stores that failed to produce valid drug licenses.

 

The official said they also recovered expired medicines from various shops which were destroyed. He notices were issued to the drug dealers to keep their shops clean and neat and allocate separate shelve for expired medicines.
The official said they would conduct an inspection of medicines stores and health centers and clinics to ensure the quality of health facilities for the residents.
