RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed four terrorists on Saturday, while a soldier also embraced martyrdom in a gun battle with the terrorists in the general area of Jani Khel, Bannu of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Jani Khel, Bannu.
During the operation, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists. The security forces fought bravely and engaged the terrorist’s location effectively, killing four terrorists. Arms and ammunition were also discovered in the possession of deceased terrorists.
The terrorists that were killed were involved in attacks on security personnel and the murder of innocent citizens.
Sepoy Mohammad Waseem (25), a citizen of Khairpur, fought valiantly and chose martyrdom during the intense exchange of fire.
The area is being sanitized in order to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area, ISPR Added
