PESHAWAR: Unknown gunmen have killed Maulvi Abdul Hadi leader of the Afghan Taliban near Peshawar, according to police.
According to the official source, the incident occurred in Charsadda Road, Bakhshu Pul area at Peshawar when Maulvi Abdul Hadi was returning home from Mardan where he had gone to offer condolences on the demise of a relative.
The body was taken into custody and later shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
the gunmen fled after the incident. No group claimed responsibility. Police have started the investigation, sources added.
Abdul Hadi Pashaiwal was the Taliban governor for the eastern Laghman province of Afghanistan.
