Bara Press Club elects office-bearers

BARA: Muhammad Saleem Afridi was elected President and Munir Khan Afridi General Secretary in the annual elections of the Bara Press Club. A total of 22 members cast their votes.

Saleem Afridi secured 12 votes to defeat his opponent, Khadim Khan, while Munir Khan Afridi won the General Secretary post with 14 votes, defeating Saqib Afridi. Other key positions were filled with Jahanzeb Khan elected Senior Vice President, and Iqbal Afridi and Shafiq Afridi selected unopposed as Joint Secretary and Finance Secretary, respectively.

Elders, political leaders, and members of the Khyber Bar Association attended the event, congratulating the newly elected cabinet and pledging support for journalists’ welfare. In his address, Saleem Afridi vowed to address the challenges faced by the Bara Press Club and work for the rights of the journalist community.
