4 heroin factories sealed in Khyber

LANDIKOTAL: District police officer Wasim Riaz on Wednesday claimed to have sealed four heroin and Ice drug manufacturing factories and recovered a huge quantity of different narcotics items in the past few days in Jamrud tehsil of district Khyber.

DPO Wasim Riaz was speaking to a press conference at Levies Lines Shakas in Jamrud where he had also displayed the seized contrabands and the arrested persons. He said on the strict directives of Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police Moazzim Jah Ansari they launched a massive operation in various parts of district Khyber.

He added that during the past one week the Station House Officer(SHO) Akbar Afridi was tasked who sealed four factories, recovered 26kg heroin,12Kg opium, four kilograms Ice drug, eight-kilogram hashish, and 54kg of chemical being used in Ice manufacturing.

He said weapons, vehicles, and several other drug manufacturing equipment were also recovered from the narcotics dens.

Wasim Riaz said they arrested five alleged drug dealers and traffickers including a most-wanted drug dealer Mamoor alias Rahib and sent them to jail.

The police officer said crackdown against social evils would be continued until they do not clean the society from such inhuman practices. He said they have prepared a missive plan against the drug mafia and so far successful to put hands on big crocodiles in the district.
