25 couples tied in mass wedding ceremony in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Shinwari Weldare Organization(SWO) arranged a graceful and heartwarming mass wedding ceremony, where 25 couples on Friday tied the knot, concluded at the Day Night Restaurant in Landikotal amid an atmosphere of joy, unity and celebration.

The event witnessed a large turnout, with hundreds of people attending the ceremony, adding to its charm and significance. The venue echoed with prayers, smiles and heartfelt congratulations, creating a sense of collective happiness as if the entire community was part of the occasion.
Elders offered blessings, youth participated with enthusiasm, and children added to the festive spirit, making the event truly memorable.

The ceremony was organized by the Shinwari Welfare Organization under the leadership of its President, Haji Aslam Shinwari. Several notable personalities, including Awami National Party senior leader Malik Darya Khan Afridi, Haji Ilyas Shinwari, Haji Akhtar Ali Shinwari, Sartaj Shinwari, Chota Nawab and Haji Alamgir Afridi, attended the event, further enhancing its importance.

In accordance with Pashtun traditions, the ceremony was conducted with simplicity and dignity. The Nikah was solemnized by Maulana Nisar Ali Jandi, who also offered special prayers for the newlywed couples, wishing them a prosperous and blessed future.

This collective marriage initiative not only provided ease and support to poor families but also set a positive example of unity, compassion and social responsibility. The event highlighted the spirit of brotherhood and reinforced the cultural values of cooperation and simplicity.
