18 dead, dozen injured in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar car bomb blast

TORKHAM: At least 18 people have been killed and dozens injured by a car bomb blast Saturday targeted a government building in Ghani Khel district province of Nangarhar eastern Afghanistan.

According to the provincial governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani, Militants detonated a car packed with explosives near an administrative compound in Shinwari Ghani Khel district.
He said most of the victims were Afghan security force members but several civilians were also among the dead.
7 people among the dead belonged to the Afghanistan international cricket umpire Bismillah Jan shinwari family. He said that children are also among the dead and wounded people. Dead and wounded civilians belong to the Shinwari tribes.
No one had so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
