BAJAUR: Two people were killed in a bomb explosion near Tali Dam in the Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur district on Saturday, according to local police.
DSP Jamal Shah said initial reports confirmed that two individuals lost their lives in the blast. Rescue teams, police, and other relevant authorities rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident.
According to officials, the body of one victim was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Khar, while rescue personnel continued searching for the second victim’s body in the waters of Tali Dam.
The deceased were identified as Suleman Qari, son of Faqir and a resident of Tali, and Ghulam, son of Subhan.
A heavy police contingent led by SHO Bacha Rahman cordoned off the area and tightened security. Investigators have launched an inquiry, collecting evidence to determine the nature and circumstances of the explosion.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected as officials continue examining all aspects of the incident.
