PESHAWAR: President of the Khyber Students Association at the University of Peshawar Abudarda Shinwari has threatened the government that if cellular phone internet service (3G/4G)is not restored within a week in merged tribal districts they would be compelled to take further steps.

President of the Khyber Students Association at the University of Peshawar Abudarda Shinwari told FVNA that under the fundamental rights guaranteed under Articles 19 and 19-A of the Constitution of Pakistan, every citizen has the right to access internet facilities.
but the students of erstwhile Fata don’t have this facility even in this modern era of technology. he said the students of tribal districts cannot compete with students of settled areas in their studies as they have more facilities.
Shinwari said he is in contact with the other student unions at Peshawar university to chalk out future plans if their demand was not accepted. He said people, especially students in merged districts have been deprived of fast mobile phone internet facilities that irked their studies and cut them off from the rest of the world.
