LANDIKOTAL: At least four persons were injured when two rival parties exchanged gun firing in Landikotal, sources said on Thursday.

The sources said that Almas and Shamed’s groups first changed and then opened fire on each other. As a result, four persons, identified as Noorullah, Obaidullah, Rajid and Nabi Gul received bullet injuries. The injured were rushed to DHQ hospital in Landikotal, wherefrom, one Noorullah was referred to the hospital in Peshawar due to his critical health condition, sources said.

As this happened police reached the spot and arrest several from both sides.

BAZAARS CLOSED: Khyber district administration imposed 144 and closed Landikotal, Sultankhel and Torkham bazaars. People were asked not to assemble more than two persons.
Only a few grocery and medicines shops would remain open.
Additional assistant commissioner Shamsul Islam told this scribe that they have established an isolation center for 150 persons in Landikotal degree college.
He said no Corona cases were recorded in Landikotal, however, they were well prepared to fight with Coronavirus. “Health workers, forces and citizens are on one page to protect general public life,” said Shamsul Islam.
