Peshawar: A private channel reporter Imtiaz Baig was shot dead in Jhelum, Parvimnce Panjab, on Thursday, sources said
According to sources, Samaa TV reporter Imtiaz Baig was killed in an ‘assassination attempt’ by Unknown Men.
Sources added that unidentified persons attacked Baig with batons when he came out of a local mosque after offering prayers.
After the assault on the TV reporter, the perpetrators fled the scene.
The journalist’s body was shifted to the district hospital. Police authorities launched an investigation to ascertain the motives of the attack.
