KHYBER: A 13-year-old boy was killed and two others sustained injuries when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in the Maidan area in Tirah Valley on Saturday, local and official sources said.
They said that Sajid Khan, Aamir Khan and Saleem Khan were finding mushrooms in a hilly area when their feet were hit with explosives that went off in the Durbikhel area in Bar Qambarkhel in the Tirah valley.
As a result, a 13-year-old Sajid died on the spot while others including Aamir Khan and Saleem Khan sustained injuries.
The injured were taken to a local hospital where they shifted to Peshawar for medical requirements where their condition was to be said critically.
