Minorities’ role in Pakistan progress lauded

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs, Sahibzada Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri on Tuesday lauded the role and contribution of the patriot Christian community in the country’s progress and stability.

The event was arranged by the Minority Wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad wherein Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri was the chief guest.
Addressing a function in Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said Pakistan minorities have always played the role of responsible citizens.
He said the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan guarantees complete freedom to minority communities of the country, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was also a strong supporter of minority rights.
Qadri said the patriot Christians always played a constructive role in strengthening the country. Jesus Christ disseminated the message of peace, love, and fraternity among humanity.
He said respect for all the prophets is mandatory for followers of every religion as hate always leads to tragedy.
He said the Christian world has also denounced French President Emmanuel Macron’s Islamophobic remarks apart from Pakistan, Turkey and Iran.
